Our Priority Goal
We are building the future by developing athletes who are starting out in wheelchair basketball. We are making the full integration of women a reality, combining youth development programs with real opportunities for growth in competition.
From the moment an athlete starts in BSR, in our Entity, we seek that their personal and sporting development is based on the principles of: Equality; teamwork; individual and collective effort; commitment; passion for the sport; discipline and especially awareness of overcoming the difficulties that may be encountered.
Since there are no lower categories in our sport, our approach to youth development and schools is to ensure that athletes feel, from the very beginning, that their learning process is based on acquiring the technical and tactical skills that will allow them to integrate into a team competing at the highest national levels. Their sporting future may also extend to wheelchair basketball, as a complement to greater and healthier integration—physically, mentally, and socially.
